Life in the balance

It is an understatement to say I spent some time today with people in challenging circumstances.

This afternoon, I went to visit Josh Prunsky at Children’s Hospital in Chicago.  This young man has inspired many during his year plus battle with cancer.  It was a tough weekend health-wise, but his smile was as inspiring as the updates he writes on his caring bridge website.  Here is the link for that:  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/joshuaprunsky

Tonight I went to our spring kick-off for Celebrate Recovery.  Lots of people there and we heard 3 powerful stories of how God has used this ministry in people’s lives.  These stories were so powerful and remind me how central CR is to our mission:  Being used by God to change lives

Can’t come close to describing it here.  If you are working through something challenging in your life, you should make ti to west campus 7:00 every Monday night.  Beginning next week, the experience is totally confidential.
